When are elections held to elect the Mayor and members of City Council?
- The City of Bevil Oaks conducts its General Election every year in November. Each term is held for 2 years, with each Ward having someone up for election every year.
How long are the terms for Mayor and Council?
- The Mayor and the Council have two-year terms
- Every other year the Mayor and one councilman for each Ward are up for election
- The following year the other three Council are up for election
I.E. In 2025, the Mayor, Ward 1 Councilman Merendino, Ward 2 Councilman Clayton & Ward 3 Councilman Thibodeaux were up for election.
In 2026, Ward 1 Councilman Mannette, Ward 2 Councilwoman Cramer & Ward 3 Councilman Wright will be up for election
Those elected in 2025, have a two-year term that will expire in 11/2027.
