Ditches, Culverts, Driveways

Ditches:

If you are concerned with the drainage along the streets, Jefferson County PCT 1 maintains these small ditches. You can put a work order in with the office and a PCT 1 employee will contact you.

Culverts: DO NOT PURCHASE A CULVERT UNTIL YOU HAVE BEEN ADVISED BY THE COUNTY WHAT SIZE YOU WILL NEED FOR YOUR LOCATION.

Once a work order has been put in for a new culvert install Jefferson County PCT 1 will come out and determine what size culvert you need, you will then purchase a culvert.

Once the proper culvert has been purchased and delivered, please contact the office. You can purchase limestone from the County or you can choose to purchase material to go over the culvert elsewhere. There are specs on having a concrete driveway, so please make sure that you come by the office so that your driveway meets the specs. The City will then send the work order on the PCT 1 for install. PCT 1 will include your work order on their schedule and install it ASAP.

Driveways:

Limestone can be purchased from the county at the current rate. We suggest you consult with the city regarding the city right-of-way and utility easements prior to installing driveways and culverts.

Our roads are maintained by Jefferson County PCT 1 as well. The City pays for all materials. If you notice pot holes or other street damage, please report it to the City of Bevil Oaks, so it can be properly inspected and reported to PCT 1.
