Our focus is to address potentially unsafe and unsanitary conditions, and to maintain the quality of life within our city.

What can Ordinance Enforcement help me with?

Ordinance enforcement handles violations to city ordinances on private property. Such as high weeds, junked/abandoned vehicles, litter/debris/trash on property, unsafe construction, etc.

Violations on public property, civil matters, property line matters, deed restrictions, zoning, etc. 

What happens after I report an issue?

What can Ordinance Enforcement NOT help me with?

Step 1. The violation is inspected.

Step 2. If the violation is NOT an immediate hazard to the public a courtesy letter is issued and 15 days is given to correct the issue. 

Step 3. On or after the 15th day the violation will be inspected again. If the violation is not corrected a Violation Letter will be issued and the owner with have 15 days to correct. 

Step 4. If the violation is NOT resolved in 30 days Ordinance Enforcement will take the appropriate action, which may include daily fines, and a court date with the Municipal Judge.
